A Message From Pastor Valerie
Dear Friends,
I hope your week is going well! Please remember that the Annual Meeting of Peace Lutheran Church is Sunday, February 11th, following worship! I hope that all members will mark their calendars and plan on attending.
As many of you know, the congregation, in a special meeting, voted to sell the property known to us as Outlot A, to a developer. Our Council President will be updating us on the details of the sale and the final touches leading up to its completion. Thank you to all the members who came out for the special meeting, and for your thoughtful comments.
It’s hard to believe that Ash Wednesday and the beginning of the Lenten season are on Wednesday, February 14. We will have Ash Wednesday service at 6:30 pm. The service will include confession and the imposition of ashes, holy communion and special music. We hope that you will make every effort to be present for this meaningful entry into the Lenten season.
In next week’s email, I will introduce our Lenten theme for 40 days of sacrificial giving. As we prepare our hearts and minds to celebrate Easter, we begin the discipline of the Lenten Season. Lent is an important time to not only ‘give up’ a few things, but also to ‘take on’ a few things. I hope you will be in prayer this season as your spiritually prepare for this journey.
Have a good week! Take care, Be safe..
Pastor Valerie
