A Message From Pastor Valerie

Dear Friends,
I hope you are having a good week.  For those of you who could not attend the special congregational meeting last Sunday, the members did vote to sell what many know as “Outlot A” to a developer.  You will get an update as the process of the sale moves forward. Currently Peace Lutheran is working with the buyer on final paperwork towards the sale. If you have questions regarding the sale, you are invited to contact our Church Council President, Jared Steinberg, or anyone on the Executive Council.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for Blaine Edmundson tomorrow morning at Peace. Visitation is at 10 am, with the service to follow at 11 am. There will be a luncheon following the gravesite service at Morningside Memorial Gardens.
Looking ahead:  The Annual Meeting of Peace Lutheran Church is February 11, at 11 am. All Members are invited to attend the meeting.
Ash Wednesday worship is February 14, at 6:30pm.
There is no Wednesday morning Bible Study next week, January 17.
I’ve given the congregation two updates on the Loven family. As many of you know, Mike is very sick and needs a heart, kidney and double lung transplant. At this point, he is being transferred from the University of Minnesota hospital to Mayo in Rochester. Mike and Lisa have two daughters.  We can all imagine how stressful and emotional this time is for the family.  If you are able, could you donate some gas cards and some food gift cards for resources for the family?  Please contact me with any questions and I can let you know of any other needs they may have at this time.  Please keep them in your prayers as this is a dire situation for Mike and Lisa and the family.
Julie will add the other updates at the close of my email.
I hope you are having a good week!  Blessings to you!!  Be safe…  take care….
Pastor Valerie
