A Message from Pastor Valerie
Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for all the gift cards and games that have come in for the holiday baskets! Sunday is the last day to turn in gift cards; and we have plenty of games, so thank you so much!! Julie will put a list of food donations still needed at the end of my email.
Tonight, we have such a fun evening planned. Community dinner at 5 pm, followed by the advent craft at 5:30 pm, and a fun, fun worship of the Grinch at 6:30 pm. I hope you will come and join us this evening!!
This coming Sunday, December 17 Infusion will be presenting a cantata for our worship experience. Please join us for a morning of music and lessons as we prepare our hearts for Christmas celebrations!
In the next few days, you will receive a letter announcing a special congregational meeting for Sunday, January 7, at 11 am. The purpose of this meeting will be to vote on the potential sale of what many of come to know as Outlot A to a developer. The meeting on December 10th, was an informational meeting, and the meeting on January 7th, will be a discussion and vote on the potential sale of the land.
In that same envelope, you will receive a letter from David Westland and myself regarding the budget for the coming year. At this time, the budget could be classified as a very challenging budget, and we want our members to have this information sooner rather than later.
Both letters will come together in a first- class mailing. Please note: the special congregational meeting on January 7th is open to members of Peace Lutheran.
I have been so appreciative and thankful for your encouragement and prayers this season, as I hold you daily in my prayers. I hope this season is a blessing for you and your family!!
Take care… be safe
Pastor Valerie
