Dear Friends,

As usual, Peace is a busy place!  Please remember the Annual Meeting this coming Sunday, February 5, at 11:30 am. There is a pancake breakfast hosted by the Men of Peace. The breakfast will be served from 9-10 am, and then following the 10 am worship. Check in for the Annual Meeting will begin at 11:15 am. All members are encouraged and invited to attend.

Don’t forget the New Member Orientation on Saturday, February 4, at 10 am. If you are unable to attend, there is a second orientation on Sunday, February 12, after worship. You need only attend one of the orientations. New Members will be received on Palm Sunday, April 2.

The youth are going skiing. The activity is Saturday, February 11^th at Buck Hill in Burnsville, MN. Please drop off youth at 3 pm and pick them up at 8 pm. Send enough money for their ski rental, slope charges and refreshments. We are asking that those who are interested, please sign up on the youth board at church or let Jessie know through text or email.

You have or will receive a Lenten calendar and letter from me today or in the next day or so. I hope you enjoy the calendar as you prepare for Lent. There are scripture references for each of the days of Lent leading up to Holy Saturday.

I will be leaving for Egypt on February 16.  My last day in the office will be on Tuesday, February 14.  If you have messages, questions or concerns and wish an appointment, please contact me now so that we can visit before the 14^th.  I will return to the office the week of February 27. The tour is 12 days, and I’m assuming that I will need an additional day or so to readjust to the time difference. Pastor Galen Hora will be assisting us while I’m gone, and Julie in the Church Office will contact him for any emergencies while I am away.  Pastor Galen will also be in worship for Ash Wednesday, and to assist the Vicars on the 19 and 26. I invite you to keep Bruce and I in your prayers for our safe travel out of country and our safe return. Thank you in advance for your prayers and good thoughts.

Current and interested preschool families are invited to a Preschool Open House on Tuesday, February 21^st from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  Join us to see the classrooms, meet the teachers, do fun activities and projects and have a yummy treat!  Please spread the word and help grow our preschool program.

Preschool registration for the 2023-2024 school year opens on Monday, February 13^th.  Please email the director, Kerri Tomandl at [email protected] for more information and registration materials.

 

Camp Wapo Summer Camp

Wapo Youth Camp, July 23-28 – For completed grades 4-9 cost $610

Seeds Weekend, July 21-23 – For completed grades 1-3 cost $260

Registration opens January 15 thru February 15 for our reserved spots. Open registration starts after February 16.

Kids Winter Fun Night

The Children’s Ministry team is hosting a Fall Fun Night

for children 3 years old to 5^th grade.

We would love for your child(ren) to join us!

When: Friday, February 3

Time: 5:30-8:30pm

Cost: $10 per child or $25 per family

Please join us for pizza, games, music and craft.

Parents you can have a fun night out!
