Dear Friends,
I hope you had a good week! It’s hard to believe that school has started already and we are in the month of September.
We have some great news! We have completed the details for our Hispanic congregational partner, Casa de Oracion! I am meeting with them to finalize their worship schedule, and am looking forward to connecting with our volunteer/host families. What an exciting time for Peace to be able to have another non-English congregation worshiping in our building on Sunday afternoons! If you would like to volunteer, please let me know!
This coming Sunday is Rally Day and Sunday School begins, please bring your child(ren) for class! In worship our Sunday School students in first grade will receive Bibles and preschool age will receive prayer books.
There will be a coffee/cake reception for Jan Dubats and family to celebrate their wonderful gift of the stone re-face of our Educational Hall in memory of Jan’s husband, Bill Dubats. We will also be welcoming our new Office Manager, Julie Barthels. Julie began her position with us in July.
Confirmation Orientation for ALL students is Wednesday, September 14, at 6 pm. We invite all new and returning students with their parent/guardian for this meeting. Also, ALL 9th graders who are affirming their baptismal promises on Sunday, September 25, 10 am, need to be present at orientation. We will be handing out your robes and stoles, and if you are in need of a stole, we have some pre-made ones. Pictures and practice for Confirmation Sunday is Sunday, September 18, at noon. Please arrive early with your robes and stoles and be in the sanctuary at noon for practice. A parent must be present for pictures and practice.
Wednesday morning Bible Study resumes on September 14, at 10 am. We will meet in person in the Fellowship Hall. All are welcome!!
Office hours remain the same Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, from 8:30-noon.
