I hope you are having a good week! Thank you to everyone who was able to attend Debbie Clipson’s farewell on Sunday! We had a lovely morning, and she enjoyed the time at the reception being able to greet and visit with so many of you! Special thanks to the staff and volunteers for making it a special day for her.
There will be a cake/coffee wedding reception for Pastor Tim and Chris Schroeder on Sunday, August 7th after the 10 am worship service. If you are not able to join us that morning, and would like to send cards and greetings, please send to the Church Office and we’ll make sure they receive them.
Have you ever wanted to try ringing hand bells? If so, you’re in luck! This summer, the Ringers of Peace are holding casual practices on Monday evenings 6-7 pm. Ringers of all levels are welcome! If you’re an experienced ringer, you can jump right in. If you’re a first-time ringer, no problem, we’ll show you the ropes! Please contact Kate at 612-636-5076 if you are interested. We would love to have you join us!
If you haven’t registered your child for Vacation Bible School, it’s not too late. You can stop in for a registration form, or you can bring your child/children on August 1, the first day of VBS! VBS is open to children ages 3 through the 5th grade, and meets from 9 am-noon, August 1-5th. Thank you to everyone who has donated treats for the week. We still need a few items, you can pick up a sticky during the week or on Sunday, and return the items to the Church Office.
We are looking for two individuals who would like to learn live streaming. These are paid positions. Please contact me if you are interested.
Confirmation begins in September. We are looking for two more individuals to help with the program. Please contact me if you are interested. Confirmation is every Wednesday through the school year.
As September approaches, we will return to having coffee and refreshments on Sunday mornings. If you are interested in coordinating those mornings, please contact me. We will need several people who can share kitchen duties.
Right now, we are considering bringing back the Wednesday evening Peace Meal. If you are interested in working with this, please contact me. This meal will be kid friendly: hot dogs, pizza, hamburger, fries, etc.… The hope is to have the meal, and then make our Fellowship Hall available to our children and youth on Wednesday evenings. The meal would begin sometime, mid-September.
Office hours are as normal next week. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 8:30-noon. I will be out of town during the week, so there will be no email on Wednesday, July 27th. Like you, I am trying to get a few days of vacation in this month, and will also be doing some traveling in mid to late August. I am always available to you by text, cell, or email.
