Weekly Announcements from Pastor Valerie Brown-Greenly, Senior Pastor

Dear Friends,
We had a beautiful All Saints worship on Sunday.  Thank you to the Stephen Ministers, staff, musicians, bell choir and worshippers who made the day special.  This coming Sunday, November 14, our PLC Band will be in worship at 10:00am.  Elizabeth Faison is our new PLC Band Director, and Livestream Director.  Please welcome her!
Office hours continue today and tomorrow from 8:30am-Noon, and Wednesday evening from 5:00pm-7:00pm.  Next week, office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 8:30am-Noon, and Wednesday evening from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we continue to work on the preparation for Holiday Food Baskets.  Donations needed this week:  pancake mix & syrup, canned chili, sloppy joes, fruit and veggies, and child friendly boxed cereal.
This Sunday, the Middle School Youth Group will be meeting at 11:30am at Peace Lutheran.
This Sunday, at 11:30am we will be packing the Operation Christmas Child Boxes.
First Communion Instruction is Sunday, November 21, at 11:30am.  This class is open to first graders and older children and youth who have yet to participate.  The class is intergenerational, so a parent and/or guardian should attend with their child(ren).  Please contact the church office if you plan on attending.
Peace Lutheran and Genoa Healthcare are hosting the following:
Pfizer Orange Clinic: Tuesday, November 23, from 5:30pm-8:30pm.  This Pfizer clinic is for children ages 5-11, for the first vaccination.  The second vaccination will be given on Thursday, December 16, from 5:30-8:30pm.  If you want your child to participate in the Pfizer Orange Clinic, please contact me by cell, text, email, or message me on Facebook and we will get you set up.
Moderna/Pfizer Booster Clinic is Tuesday, November 30.  Both vaccines will be available that day.  Please call, text, email, or message me on Facebook, and I’ll get you set up. Remember to bring your vaccination card and insurance information to the appointment.
Give to the Max is Thursday, November 18.  This is an opportunity to make an additional gift to the mission and ministry of Peace Lutheran.  You may give through the Give to the Max program, or go on our website and make a donation.  As Christians, attend to those who are in need, and in this time as we prepare for the holidays, we remember those less fortunate than ourselves.  One way to do this is to make sacrificial gifts to the ministry of our congregation and its many programs and ministries.
Have a good week!  Take care…Be safe…
