OUR MISSION
Spread the Gospel in the Community and in Peace Lutheran
Church.
WHAT IS EVANGELISM?
Evangelism, which means "the proclamation of good news," relates
to everything we do as Christians. We follow God's command to proclaim the
good news of Jesus Christ with others in various ways. We comfort people who
suffer or grieve, we help people who are sick or poor, and we share our stories
of faith and God's love whenever we can.
WHAT DOES EVANGELISM MINISTRY
DO?
The Evangelism Ministry will be a group of people who plan ways to reach out
to the congregation and the community in God's love. We'll work to publicize
events at Peace and encourage people to take part. Also, we'll find ways to
educate and equip members of Peace to also reach out to the community.
WHO CAN BE A PART?
The Evangelism Ministry needs all kinds of people. The only requirement is
a desire to use your personal gifts as Christ's disciple.
WILL I HAVE TO KNOCK ON DOORS?
No. The Evangelism Ministry will plan various activities, and going door-to-door
might be just one. We also need people to work with media, technology, new
members, and other outreach organizations. But most of all, we will be a group
who creates a vision for how our congregation as a whole does evangelism.
HOW MUCH TIME WILL IT TAKE?
If you're a member of the Evangelism Ministry, you will be expected to attend
regular meetings. Outside
of that, whatever time you are able to contribute would be appreciated. We
