You at Peace
What are YOU looking for?A place where you can be yourself?
If so, come visit us at Peace.
Peace is a community of REAL people just like you--flawed but well-intended--who gather for REAL worship and experience the REAL presence of Jesus Christ. We don't take ourselves too seriously and we don't pretend to know all the answers. Instead, we come together to ask the questions and explore God's will for our lives as revealed through word and sacrament. We value our strong Lutheran heritage, even as we look for signs that God is doing new things in the world by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are a welcoming, celebrative community, rejoicing in the knowledge that we have been redeemed -- not by our own actions, but by the grace of God and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Peace is also a community of do-ers. We believe that faith should be active in works and that the love of God should be shared. Through our many service, education and caring ministries, we strive for our members and friends to be actively involved and immersed in our mission to "Listen, Serve, and Spread God's Word”.
Listen:
“Let anyone with ears listen!” (Matthew 13:9). When we listen, we learn about God and God’s Word. We do this in many different ways at Peace. Click here to find out how you can listen and learn at Peace.
Serve:
“For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve…” (Mark 10:45). When a person serves at Peace they are serving God, God’s children, and the church. We serve others as Christ served us, out of love, as free gift. Click here to find out how you can serve with Peace.
Spread God’s Word:
Spreading God’s Word isn’t always done through words. People are affected by the things we say, from what we have learned, and by the things we do, especially when we serve. Bystanders are affected as they watch and those we serve are affected. “I (Paul) want you to know, beloved, that what has happened to me has actually helped to spread the gospel” (Philippians 1:12).
